How the process works
  • If you would like an estimate on your window replacement before we send out one of our sales reps, please check out our product range and work out what you want first, then fill out this form in detail, with as much info as possible and we will email you an estimated quote within 2 to 5 work days.
  • Or for a firm price, book in a free measure and quote with us by calling 8345 1911, or fill out this form so we can contact you at your convenience.
  • Our rep will visit you at the time agreed. Our reps visiting hours are between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Note: Our reps require access to the inside and outside of your property, where the windows are located. We are unable to quote if you do not let us inside to inspect the internal finish of your current windows.
  • Basic quotes may be prepared onsite and emailed directly to you or hand written, while you wait. Quotes with many options or technical challenges will generally be prepared off site and emailed to you within a few days, or posted if required.
  • Your quote which includes pricing and all details is valid for 30 days from the “quoted date” printed on your quote. If you go ahead with the quote after 30 days has passed, your quote will need to be repriced to reflect current costings of the time. The price may or may not change, depending on how long it has been.
  • All supply and installation quotes are “subject to site measure”, which means although every care has been taken to estimate the cost of the work as accurately as possible, based on the details available at time of quoting. Any alterations, overlooked items not stated on your quote or structural requirements, variations and/or additions may be charged as an extra if they arise. If any extras are to be charged, your sales representative will inform you before your job is processed.
  • Before you sign off and accept your quote, please make sure you fully understand what the quote reads.  It should state everything that is required, including installation method, frame colour, glass and flyscreen type, latches or locks etc. rubbish removal and any other extras.
  • If anything is still yet to be confirmed or if you have changed your mind about any of the items on your quote, please advise your sales rep immediately before signing off on it.
  • Any requests to make changes should be put forward in writing, via email as soon as possible. If you don’t have access to email, please call your rep immediately.
  • Any changes to your quote will need to be repriced and re-printed by your sales rep and sent back to you. You will then need to sign off on the revised version to confirm the changes before we can proceed.
  • Measurements stated on your quotation are for costing purposes only and are not for supply only manufacturing. If you change your order to supply only please inform your sales rep immediately. You will also need to supply us with your manufacturing dimensions.
  • Final sizes we need for installing the windows are determined by our installer upon a check measure.
  • Our installers require a safe work area to perform their job properly. • Statesman is not licensed to work with electrical or plumbing matters. If any such works are required to accommodate window replacement, the client must ensure work is completed by a licensed contractor before the commencement of installation.
  • If work undertaken requires Working at Heights or Scaffolding work then the cost will be factored into our quotation.
  • Statesman is not licensed to work with and/or remove or dispose of asbestos.
  • All quotations for the replacement of steel windows are subject to the Work Health and Safety Act 2012, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 and relevant Codes of Practice. This refers to the possibility of asbestos fibres being present in putty used on steel/aluminium framed windows sealed with steel frame putty that was originally installed prior to 2004.
  • Before the client agrees to contract us with steel window replacement, they must provide us with an asbestos management plan and/or register.
  • If no asbestos register is available, Statesman will presume that the putty contains asbestos and will not proceed until the following procedures are actioned upon.
  • The client, at their own cost, must provide samples of the putty to be tested by a National Association Testing Authority (NATA) approved laboratory to identify if the putty contains asbestos. You can find a licensed asbestos tester here on Google.
  • If the putty is suspected or identified as containing asbestos, Statesman will not proceed until a trained and licensed contractor has removed all traces of asbestos.
  • After all asbestos traces have been removed from the intended work area and upon providing evidence to show that such work has been completed, Statesman Windows will agree to carry out contractual arrangements as set out in your quotation.
